“What is this webinar about?
In this session, we will consider a range of techniques to ensure learners receive constructive input on their progress. In some cases, this may mean reflecting on what has been achieved, and in others may mean looking ahead and setting the next goal posts. In both scenarios, we will think about how to maintain motivation while encouraging learner autonomy and of course, remembering that good feedback does not require a grade!
Andrea Tolve is currently Professional Learning and Development Manager for Cambridge University Press Iberia and has been working in the ELT world since 1999. She started working in Zagreb, Croatia as a teacher and coordinator of private language schools before moving to Spain in 2003. On moving to Spain, Andrea Tolve was a teacher and account manager at International House Madrid and followed this by becoming a Director of Studies at her own school. She has a Master of Arts in Education specialising in Applied Linguistics with the Open University and her interests are in teacher learning and development.
Rachel Jeffries started her teaching career over 10 years ago as a secondary teacher of Drama. She has experience in teaching a wide range of ages and nationalities, in various countries. Rachel has written a booklet of creative drama activities to accompany Storyfun (Cambridge University Press) as well as a creative drama project. She holds the PGDE and the DELTA. Rachel is currently Pedagogical Lead at Cambridge University Press Iberia.
