About APPInep SIG

In 2000 APPI created a support group for teachers who work with Young Learners, in Portuguese primary schools and preschools. This group called at the time APPInep (núcleo de ensino no primeiro ciclo e pré-escolar, formerly known as núcleo de ensino precoce) is now the APPInep SIG (Special Interest Group).

Since 2000 APPI and APPInep SIG have written the Orientações Programáticas for the PROGRAMA DE GENERALIZAÇÃO DO INGLÊS no 1º CICLO DO ENSINO BÁSICO, 3^RD and 4^TH year, published the APPInep Bulletin, provided Continuing Professional Development – CPD – courses, organized an APPInep Day at APPI annual Conference and APPInep Sharing Good Practice events all over the country.
